Joshua Best Studio and Kleinfelder

JBS, in collaboration with Go Studio, recently completed Construction Documents on a new home for Kleinfelder’s Lenexa Corporate Office. The space has recently undergone demolition in preparation for the build-out. The entire team scored a significant win when we reworked the design of the space and brought on several quality contractors for Kleinfelder to consider for bidding. We’re thrilled to say the project is moving forward and is a complete success!

We’ll post more construction pictures soon. Hopefully we can get more awkward pictures of a certain contractor.

KLEINFELDER — Commercial Office Tenant Finish - Design Phases
A Collaborative Effort — Joshua Best Studio and Go Studio
We believe relevance doesn’t necessarily mean spending a ton of money. By reusing existing elements and recommending a contractor geared to these types of projects, Kleinfelder saved time and money and got the space they needed to expand.
A commercial tenant finish project can utilize existing spaces and create new spaces as means to save on cost while creating efficiencies. Kleinfelder had a very tight budget and quick timeline and needed to take advantage of existing conditions, where possible, to save on time and money.
We’re happy to say that’s what we did and that’s what happened. Currently under construction, the Owner/Architect/Contractor team will soon complete a successful project!

DOW KOKAM Commercial/ Industrial Facility Expansion & Renovation
Construction Documents complete — Building Permit issued!
A Collaborative Effort — Joshua Best Studio and Go Studio
With a tight space and small budget we had to find ways to make this space effective and efficient. We focused on what we could control. The lighting scheme was designed to give proper lighting control and contrast within a small work space with no windows; the structural system was designed to be easily built; an efficient, cost-effective mechanical system (heating and cooling) rounded out the design.
Industrial facilities, manufacturing plants, and commercial tenants may need to expand inside their existing building or space. This is where we succeed. We find ways to exploit the opportunities at hand while working within the realities of budget and timeline.
We’re proud to say that we exceeded expectations and are excited to wrap up the next project at this facility!
